Who We Are

Affinity Futures was born from the amalgamation of affinity groups of traditionally marginalised and underrepresented communities within the veterinary and allied professional sector.

Our team was brought together with the goal of advocating for people from marginalised communities within the veterinary sector.

We want everyone to commit to fighting against discrimination in the veterinary profession. We work with others to demonstrate with them how this can be achieved successfully, with respect, and without judgement.

How We Help

Diversity, equality, and equity are central to everything we do at Affinity Futures. Sadly, veterinary medicine is one of the least diverse and accessible professions in the United Kingdom.

Discrimination and lack of awareness lead to isolating experiences and impact negatively on your team’s productivity, retention, and well-being.

We aim to improve opportunities, support, and resources for both the marginalised communities themselves and their allies in the veterinary profession. We use our unique insight and perspective gained from lived experience to facilitate meaningful change.
